Creative Consultant (Social Media) | July 2023 - July 2024 (1 year)

In no specific order, here are most of all my major wins from my 1 year at Supari Studios for Spotify.


In the Creative Direction department:


I, along with my massive love for bollywood music, was a part of brainstorms for the renaming of the famous Bollywood Butter editorial playlist to its current name:

Bollywood Butter was renamed and rebranded to Bollywood Central

This involved thinking of several routes, and then coming up with various names in each of those routes,

giving reasonings for each of those names, and finally over the course of nearly 2 months locking in on Bollywood Central- Jo baje, toh seedha dil ke center mein lage!


 

For another campaign in this department, I learnt about Hip-hop and its subcultures from scratch to come up with the messaging for the second edition for Spotify’s Rap91 Live Event.



For this I worked closely with some of the best minds in the marketing industry like @hustlerani


 

In the Social Media department:


I ideated posts and wrote tweets that hit home for thousands of people

I spoke the language of fandoms and communities doing Online Reputation Management, engaging with nearly 2000 comments and posts 🗣





 

I ran design team huddles like a ✨smooth operator✨, translated ideas into crisp briefs, overlooked edits and did the holy matchmaking of feedback and execution between the design team and clients




 

Along with this I also held space for the creative team’s ideas in client calls and defended and tweaked ideas.



 

I also kept our content tracker on point—updating, bucketing, and adding details that made the analytics team’s job a breeze.

I also went behind the scenes and took the ‘gram along for the ride, doing live story coverage on Spotify's Instagram 4 of their major on-ground events.


 

I cooked in them spreadsheets– content programming sheet, design task sheet, approval sheet, ALP content and ALP approval sheet, ORM sheet, content bucketing sheet– you name the function, there’s a sheet for it and I know it like the back of my hand.

 

I scripted IP scripts for artists, merging their vibes with our messaging.



 

For what's not already been said I managed and wrote for scroll-stopping campaigns and album-partnerships that often required me to come up with brand new campaign-specific TOVs (Tone of Voice), and come up with general messaging, post ideas and ORM routes for the same.



 

Speaking of TOVs, to wrap up my journey, I crafted a TOV guide (Copy Memo) for Spotify India, putting my deep understanding of the brand’s unique voice to use. It’s now a handy resource for the team and future consultants—talk about making a grand exit!
